Doggy’s Day Out Program

Grant County Animal Outreach has started a new program for volunteers! See below for more details!

Tex one of our adoptable dogs on his doggy day out!

Need a break from your routine? So do our shelter dogs! Our Doggy’s Day Out program lets you take one of our adoptable pups out for a fun adventure whether that is a walk, hike, pup cup run, or just relaxing outside the shelter. It is a great way to give our dogs a chance to decompress, experience the world, and maybe even meet their future family along the way!

To participate, you will simply stop by the shelter and complete a quick waiver. We do require a copy of a valid ID or driver’s license at that time. Participants must be 18 years or older to sign the paperwork and begin the process. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Once you are all set, we will match you with one of our wonderful adoptable dogs and provide everything you need for your outing, including a harness and a leash. Our team will also share a bit about your dog’s personality to help make your time together fun and successful.

It’s a great way to make a difference in a dog’s day, and we truly appreciate your interest in spending time with our animals. Contact us here to get started!
